Mommy and Me portrait session

When L told me she was ok with me sharing these pictures I almost started crying...I love them so much!

This was a Mommy and Me session that I did for L and her daughter. It was wonderful to see them skin to skin and so comfortable with each other. But then when I saw how the images came out, it made me want this for all mothers! The bond we have with our children is special and we should have something unique like this to cherish it! I know I wish I had done something like this with my babies!!

Thank you L for sharing these with us all!

First a three generation picture with L's mom.....another precious memory we should all capture!

Then L and her baby

This one was my favorite!!

And here's a couple of little C

For those who might be interested in this kind of session, please contact me. I'm putting together a special package just for this!

Leap Year Contest

In honor of Leap Year I thought I might run a contest.

4 lucky winners will win a free winter session. (to be held in studio, outside or at your home in the month of March)

Here's how it works. Email me a winter photo of your kids (or pets)playing, leaping, or just being kids. Don't worry no one's judging the images so send in something fun without worrying about if it's perfect or not! ALL Images will be posted on my blog. For entering an image I will put your name in a drawing to win a free session and 4 names will be drawn.

This is a great way for new customers to come in and try out Debbie Harmon Photography without any up front cost so spread the word to all your friends, family and co-workers.

Then check back on February 29th for all the fun images and March 1st for the list of 4 lucky winners!

Good luck!

Camera for sale

Year in review is back up

Ok...with this link and the wedding pictures below, I think I'm finally ok with the move to the new blog. I had a hard time letting go of the old one because there was so much of my work there. But I'm reposting the slideshow for those you who might want to see the many captures of 2007 and I'm letting go of the old blog! Onward and upward!! (isn't that the old saying!!)

I hope that you are all checking in frequently. As you can see I'm holding true to my promise of posting more often.

Until next time!!

Camden, Maine wedding

It has dawned on me that with my old blog gone, there aren't any wedding images currently on my blog. This isn't a good thing for potential brides out there considering hiring me. So I hope all my previous clients won't mind a little blast from the past as I post some of the wedding images from last summer. This is only a sprinkling of what I have on my website, so if you are considering hiring me please be sure to jump over to view my wedding galleries.

Here's a few from the Camden, Maine wedding I did. The ceremony took place at the amphitheater in Camden and the reception was at the Ducktrap Retreat in Lincolnville, Maine.

It was a picture perfect wedding!

Freeport, Maine Wedding

This backyard wedding took first prize for having the most "storybook looking" location. They were married in the brides parents backyard under the most enormous and gorgeous weeping willow tree I've ever seen, which was right on the edge of a beautiful hay field. The setting took my breath away when I first got there!

Kennebunkport, Maine Wedding

Another fantastically gorgeous backyard wedding! Everything from the flowers to the lobster was picture perfect and so down home Maine but elegantly done! After the ceremony in the bride and grooms back yard we skipped down the road for some beach pictures.

Here's the best man showing off the rings, then his surprise for the groom was how he kept the rings safe for the ceremony...hooked to a rope they used hiking!!

And then another creative ring shot!

Falmouth, Maine Wedding

The Falmouth Country Club was the gorgeous setting of this wedding that took place at dusk!

Portraits of my boys

Every year I do two official sessions of my boys. One in the summer and one around their birthdays. It's never easy!! Photographing my own kids is soooo much harder then photographing other people's kids..but we struggled through it (I looked like a crazy woman a few times but we made it!!) I wasn't sure if I had gotten anything I would be happy with...I was wrong!

Here's my little men at 2 and almost 5! Click on the images to see them larger

PS...I hope to post their summer session pictures soon!! :0)

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

Ok...so I've really had just about enough of this winter weather!!! Really how many days until spring!!!

Well, at least the kids are enjoying it...and it makes for some great captures!

27 hours without power....didn't bother them at all!!!

My baby turned 2!

We had my baby's second birthday this weekend. It was so bitter sweet! We love to see him grow but hate to loose our baby. Anyway here's a few precious shots of my little man. First clean and fresh in his party shirt! It was a Micky party and he loved his BIG balloon Opening presents with Daddy And some cake shots!

Nana got him an inchworm JUST like the one I had when I was little....and he loved it!!! Only problem is I don't remember mine making so much noise when I rode it!!

And finally my two little men! With Owen sporting a big bump on his forehead! Thanks for looking!

Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to my new blog and if you haven't already ...check out my new website too. Click HERE for my website

I'm so excited about my new look and plan to update both sites often. My goal for my blog is at least once a week ALL YEAR....So check back often.

And I don't often ask for things but I'm hoping to really push my wedding photography to the next level. So I'm asking all my wonderful clients and supporters to send my link to anyone you know who might be getting married in the next year or two or to any wedding related business person you might know. Word of mouth is the most powerful way to build a business so please help me if you can.

Thank you!!

More from January special

Here's another session from my January "one light, close crop" special. I can never really stick to just close crops so there's some pretty cute full body shots here. But my heart really goes with these close crops.

Thanks for looking!

Wall collections are ready!

Yes!! It's true! I've finally finished the long talked about project of having a selection of wall collections for clients to use to help decorate their homes!

I'm very excited about these because I strongly believe that pictures are the best way to decorate your home and so many people tell me they just don't know how best to display their images. So I created these for people to use either with my images or with your own.

Clients will now find that in your viewing gallery you can select a collection and purchase the prints you need from your session to fill this collection...all at a discount ranging from 15-20%.

So click on the link below, log in....don't worry no spam will come from entering your info. This just comes to me for my records...and check out the 15 new collections.

Also while we are at it I will put a plug in for AC MOORE. I love their classic, black frames. They remind me of pottery barn frames but are much more resonably priced...especially with a coupon from the sunday paper.

Forward in time
