Ballerina baby came back

As a ballerina herself this time. Yes...this is my friend's sweet little one that we took pictures of when she was born with my friends ballerina feet behind her.

Now she's a ballerina herself!!

Couldn't you just squeeze her!!! Sweet, sweet, sweet!

In training already!

This is a new recent all time favorite for me!!!

Engagement session in Cape Elizabeth

I sometimes have to apologize to my clients because I just know they are going to have a hard time choosing their images... (in a round about way this is a good thing for them)

This session was one of those cases.

J and I clicked right away when I showed her some suggestions for her engagement shoot. She wanted something serious and formal but different. I think we nailed it on all accounts.

Here's a few of my favorites...though it was impossible for me to narrow it down so their slide show is posted below too. Take a look and let me know what you think!

We went to Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth and we used the old stone structures, the grassy paths and the rocky beach. We had fun in between shots but they wanted very a very formal and serious feel to the images.

At the end we had their little guy join us and it was all smiles from there!!

Thanks so much J and S It was a great shoot and I'm very much looking forward to your wedding day in September.

STILL looking for an antique loveseat

I know some you emailed me about possible leads on a loveseat...If any of you know of an antique shop that has one, a friend with one up in the attic...or a dealer who might be able to help me find one, please let me know. I'm still hoping to find just the right one for my studio.

Family Portraits at Pineland in New Gloucester

Wedding in South Berwick Maine

Almost two weeks ago...yes, I'm keeping to my time line for posting...I shot my first wedding of the year at the Red Barn at Outlook Golf course in South Berwick, Maine Click here to check it out RED BARN

This is a brand new facility and it was just gorgeous.

Here's a few ceremony pictures which was held outside in the gazebo overlooking the golf course

Michelle being walked down the isle by her brother

The grooms expression...my favorite shot to catch

The grooms great foot attire

Saying their vows and then the kiss.

Their first moments as husband and wife

We did a few formals near the gazebo and then it was into golf carts for a short trip to the pond for some wedding party shots and then the 18th hole for the Red Barns signature shot of the entire group of wedding guest waving to the B and G.

Check out the inside of this place...just gorgeous!

I love catching emotion!

Finally, this is their way cool cake. They had to put their hands on it and pull off a piece. However many layers came off was how many kids they are supposed to have.....Two came off!

Congratulations to you Michelle and Jason! It was a pleasure capturing your day.

A recent session

One of my favorite places (yes, I have several) to shoot a portrait session or wedding formals is Laurel Hill cemetery in Saco. I know it "weirds" out some people but the grounds are just gorgeous and 99% of the time you can't even tell we were in a cemetery.

The main reason I love it is because there is so many neat little spots and the sessions end up with so much variety.

I had a great time with this family that I've followed from engagement, maternity, newborn and now family portraits. I think the images posted below are a great example of the variety you can get from this location.

So anyone looking for a spot to use for their summer portrait session should consider Laurel Hill.

My favorite shot from the day...a different perspective!

Thanks for looking
