The flowers have bloomed at my studio!!

I had my first session at my studio on Memorial Day and I couldn't have been more pleased. This little one and her big brother were the perfect way to christen my studio!

I had suggested to mom that if she could get a lilly on the way that I had an idea I have always wanted to try. I was so happy when she showed up with one.

Check out some of my favorites from the session and notice my brick wall...I JUST LOVE IT!!

Camper
Home away from home! Yes...this is where we are living for the next few weeks while our new house is being renovated. It's been absolutely crazy so far...4 nights of no sleep, electrical problems, fire alarms, psychotic cat that's never left the inside of our house now going nuts...OH the list goes on and on. I need lots of fingers crossed that our house is done in less then the expected 3 weeks!! Tune in for more updates from the crazy camper!

Last weeks workshop

I spend three days last week with 14 other photographers from around the country and even Canada at the Shoot with Beckstead workshop hosted by Linda and David Murray in Kennebunk.

It was a truly amazing experience. There is nothing better to me then spending time with other photographers...everyone understands the passion and the talking never stops! But then when you add in gorgeous models, amazing light and 5 million dollar homes...well....Need I say more.

We started our 3 days off in harsh, full sun on the beach shooting two different models. The second day we shared our images (ya..that was intimidating!!) Then the third day we shot some more models in neat old barn (those images will be posted later on)and we spent some time talking about the future of wedding photography and business marketing.

The workshops was intended to teach composition and "finding the light" We spent a lot of time learning how to crop and frame an image for a powerful impact.

Here are some images....let me know how you think I did.

All of these images obviously were done with models, but real brides can get images like this if they want them. All we need is the time, creative locations and the willingness to trust me! One of the suggestions from the workshop was that these images would be great to get at "day after" sessions. If any of my brides would like to have some portraits like this, please talk to me about a free "day after" session.

Out of Office

I will be away from the studio and office May 14- 16 attending a workshop with limited access to email. If you contact me I will get back to you as soon as I can.

It's finally finished.....

Well...except for furniture and prints on the walls!!LOL! I stole a few from home until my studio samples come in.

Here's 4 shots, one of each wall, starting with walking in the front door view.

I'm there on Monday and Tuesdays (and other days that I have a sessions scheduled) until the end of June and then I'll post what days I'm planning to be there. If your passing through...stop by to check it out...or wait for the big "Grand Opening" I'm having next month. Planning something big!

Thanks for peeking!

Couch
I'm trying really hard to get my studio set up as quickly as possible but I'm being a bit picky. I need a love seat like this..or of similar antique nature. Anyone have one they want to sell, or know of anyone who sells antiques that you could hook me up with. I want to get an antique love seat to use in my seating area of the studio but also to use as a prop like this photographer did. (that's a small boy under my black marks) If anyone can hook me up with one of these I'd be VERY appreciative!!! (hint, hint:0)

Look what I got today!

Yes...it's the key to my studio!! And behind it is my pretty white walls!

More pictures to come. I just had to announce that it's mine...ALL MINE!!!

As a mom...Does it get any better then this?
The B family is bigger by one M

I know I've said it many times but I just love watching my client's famlies grow! I love the connection I have with these families.

Here's some images of little M and his family.

Thanks so much B family for honoring me with being able to take his first portraits.

He was 6 days old and so sweet!
