Last weeks workshop

I spend three days last week with 14 other photographers from around the country and even Canada at the Shoot with Beckstead workshop hosted by Linda and David Murray in Kennebunk.

It was a truly amazing experience. There is nothing better to me then spending time with other photographers...everyone understands the passion and the talking never stops! But then when you add in gorgeous models, amazing light and 5 million dollar homes...well....Need I say more.

We started our 3 days off in harsh, full sun on the beach shooting two different models. The second day we shared our images (ya..that was intimidating!!) Then the third day we shot some more models in neat old barn (those images will be posted later on)and we spent some time talking about the future of wedding photography and business marketing.

The workshops was intended to teach composition and "finding the light" We spent a lot of time learning how to crop and frame an image for a powerful impact.

Here are some images....let me know how you think I did.

All of these images obviously were done with models, but real brides can get images like this if they want them. All we need is the time, creative locations and the willingness to trust me! One of the suggestions from the workshop was that these images would be great to get at "day after" sessions. If any of my brides would like to have some portraits like this, please talk to me about a free "day after" session.
